Imposition of Ashes
On Ash Wednesday, I facilitate the ritual called the "imposition of ashes" - which is an ancient ritual to remind us of our mortality (“Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return”), inviting us to renew and affirm the sacred purpose and meaning of our individual life and work, and to reflect the ways we participate in the suffering and brokenness of the world while holding ourselves and others with love and compassion.
